The tooling machines. a professional plastic mold factory should have some advanced tooling machines, for example, CNC, EDM, Wire Cutting, Grinder machine, others. In the facts, the small shop just has a few machines, because the cost is much expensive, so such small shop just can make a few molds. Meanwhile, there are many machines in the big shop, because they can buy such machines and make a lot of molds.

The professional engineers. This guy is very important for mold making, they should design the mold drawings according to 3D data or the samples, a professional engineers should have 3–5-year experience in mold design.

The original materials. The high-quality mold material is the first step for mold tooling, normally, the steel includes 45#, 50#, P20, H13, 718, 2738, 2316, NAK80, S136,2344.

The quality control. Usually, the plastic mold factory in China just provides OEM and ODM service for the clients, the common mold standards include HASCO, DME, RABOURDIN, JIS and LKM or enterprise injection mold standard, DME is for USA, HASCO is for Europe. So the QC will inspect the mold standard and the samples, the shop will modify something if some problems.
